Water, a Beautiful Substance Often Overlooked Upon

By Suveer Singh

Water is an important resource that sustains lives and gives many people safety and security. After all the things that have happened, water has remained a problem that doesn’t seem like a big worry. The problems have been on the rise in suburban areas in New York, and this can all come from the price of utilities, energy production, and using water in places where it’s not needed.

Many people think that water is a substance that we can never run out of because 75% of the world is water, but like everything, there is an end date for it too. The problem is, no one is realizing we are not conserving water the right way. In this current generation, you may feel that this is not going to impact you in any way, but for future generations, they will suffer for the actions we have not taken.

You might now be starting to think that there must be something we can do, but before that, we have to look at the problem in the first place. Water is a substance that has been around since the beginning of the Earth. It is very powerful and can give us strength and hydration.

The problem is that we waste water in ways we don’t realize and don’t pay attention to. This can happen by allowing a leaky pipe, taking long showers, littering in the water, and wasting clean, fresh water. Instead of taking a long shower, you can take a 3-minute one, fix pipes, and drink clean water without wasting it.

Many people take for granted what we have, while people in poor countries with bad conditions don’t have access to clean water and sanitation and therefore don’t get proper treatment. In the end, what we do for water will not only affect our generations but the people around us as well, because the small change you make will influence our way to the future.
