A world without trees
Seems impossible, doesn’t it
A planet of blue and gray
No more green, no more brown
Sky clouded by smoke and
The Earth smells of steel
The water tastes bitter
‘How could we let this happen?’
Because you
Let it happen
Watched as the man picked up the axe
Lit the match and
Watched it burn
Can you imagine a world without trees?
Or grass
Flowers
Animals
Clean water
Hope
It’s easy if you try
Please
Don’t let him pick up the axe
Don’t let him sign the paper
Imagine a world without trees
And then
Make sure your children will never have to
